Between April 2023 and March 2024, a variety of workforce development events and initiatives will happen. They will address areas of focus identified in the 2022 Local Labour Market Plan and 2023 update to that plan.
CFWD will work with the Quinte Home Builders Association and the OYAP Coordinators from the three school board in the area, to host a Construction Skilled Trades Day for high school students, teachers and Guidance Counsellors.
Partnering with Quinte Economic Development Commission, we will support a number of workshops for employers, teachers and parents on Manufacturing Skilled Trades and Skilled Occupations.
The Steering Committee for the Health Care HR Strategy will meet and determine next steps in the strategy that they would like to see addressed. CFWD expects that another section of the health care industry will be focused on in a new video as a part of our ongoing video series. . A Women’s Entrepreneur workshop will take place during Small Business Week.
