Manufacturing Day – A Virtual Career Fair

In 2019, educators from three school boards had the opportunity to hear from a keynote speaker as well as tour manufacturing facilities. The teachers who participated shared positive feedback from the event and felt that students could benefit from a similar day.

While COVID-19 has impacted the opportunity to host in-person events, it has allowed for the development of virtual events which are providing the unique opportunity to see and hear first hand about opportunities across industries and occupations.

Manufacturing is one of the five top industries in Hastings, Prince Edward and Lennox and Addington Counties with approximately 2000 current job openings across Hastings, Prince Edward and Lennox and Addington Counties.

Join the Centre for Workforce Development as they host a virtual Career Fair about opportunities in the Manufacturing Industry! Gain valuable information about the Manufacturing Sector through a Keynote Speaker, a panel of local manufacturers and virtual tours of local manufacturing companies. Hear what they do, the occupations they hire and what they are looking for in an employee.

This FREE virtual event takes place on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, running from 8 am to 2 pm. Registration is required for you to attend.
