Worker Impact Survey (WIS)

The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development approved an Ontario Labour Market Partnership agreement with the six Workforce Development Boards situated in eastern Ontario. The Eastern Workforce Innovation Board (EWIB) is the lead for this eight month project finishing the end of July 2021.

The main objectives of the WIS project are to identify key employment barriers of the workforce affected the most by COVID-19 and to suggest program and service recommendations that would address these barriers.

To date the Workforce Boards have completed surveys with community partners, held focus group meetings with workers and recently conducted a comprehensive Worker Impact Survey with individuals in the workforce obtaining over 1000 responses.
